If storing can outside or inside, ensure that it is stored in a position so the can isn't exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can impact the powder-coating. The brass rose will naturally patina over time. The patina is not corrision. If you wish to return the lustre to the rose, you can do so using a suitable metal cleaner.
