Knife and Tool Sharpening

We offer a knife and tool sharpening service in-store. The service includes kitchen knives (both Western and Japanese, including single bevel), secateurs, shears and axes. The service excludes serrated blades, such as bread knives.

The service includes repairs to tips, edges, rust cleaning, etc.

All sharpening work is done by hand on a mix of natural and synthetic whetstones, utilising traditional Japanese techniques. 

Knives and tools are usually ready for pickup next business day, depending upon the backlog of work.

Knives and tools are charged on a per knife basis, with extra charges for repairs. Charges depend on the amount of work required.
